Intent Disclaimer
The purpose of this website is not to take credit for others work. It is to compile information that has spread across the internet and books over the years. Much of the information in books is, of course, dated. Internet sites also age and even disappear over the years. Websites like http://www.bettysplendens.com & http://bettas-jimsonnier.com used to be some of the best sources for various betta related information but have since disappeared. Much of the current information can be found in Dr. Martin Brammah's book, as well as Joep van Esch's website http://www.bettaterritory.nl. However, since the some of the genetics pages of van Esch's website haven't been updated in the past 5-10 years, I've had to cross check the information to see if any changes or discoveries have since been made. Much of his website is still very relevant and accurate, however, it doesn't cover everything. The information on this website is free and can be cross checked for accuracy.
